The Weekend!

Well to start the day off, on Saturday morning , we woke up to this:

Then, Noah's Mommie and daddy came over for a visit and Noah had a blast.He played so hard. They stayed most of the day.

Then a little later, my oldest son , Chris, and my 2nd son Matt, and their families came over. They had caught some croppie and wanted to grill them. I found a recipe for Cold slaw and made it then forgot to bring it out. It was very good tho, and I took some to Daddy and Dorothy , and Fred today. Bonnie and Tim were here and as usual Bonnie cooked some carne guisada, goll-lee that woman can cook.

Sunday we went to church then I cooked a nice roast with potatos and carrots, with rice and natural gravy. UM UM good! Chad came, so did Chris , Jennifer and Dolese

And Introducing Chad's girlfriend Kathryn, or as Chad calls her Kat! What a nice girl! She is so sweet , I am pleased :)

It was a very nice weekend. The weather report is calling for a freeze in the morning. I'm SO ready for warm weather with calm winds. The wind has been so cold these last couple weekends and blowing so hard.
I went and put some easter flowers on Mama's grave. I miss her so much.

BLOGGY SLUMP

Here's Rudy ready to fry the turkeys, he fried 3, and there was very little left. It was GOOD!

Well my friends, I'm not sure if I just ate too much turkey and dressing (or pecan pie) or what, but I just cant seem to get my head to think, and my fingers to type. Maybe you could just call it laziness. I just know I'm having to force myself to sit down and write something. I have lots of pictures, not real good ones because I was so busy with the meal that I didn't get behind the lens very much.O well I'm gonna put some pictures up and tell you about them...O yeah I have been going to a revival meeting at Arbor Place Baptist church and hearing some really good messages every night , and night time is when I usually blog...so maybe that is why I have this blogger slump going on, I don't know but I'm trying to shake it off!

All in all it was a lovely Thanksgiving. I missed my other sister Carol aka (sidebar)Welcome to my world, and her family and my neice's and nephew's and especially my MAMA, but i'm sure she's feasting EVERYDAY!

Tuesday @ The Fair

We met Matt, Missy, Alli and Chris at the fairgrounds this morning for lunch. Alli & Noah walked around and looked at all the exhibits and livestock. They were neither one very impressed with the cows, but they sure liked the balloons!




Chris and Matt sure enjoyed the quesadillas, Missy and I had corn tacos, then ice cream, then a funnel cake, whewww, nothing like good old greasy fair food

It started getting hot around noon and the kiddos started getting fussy, ready for their naps.

Today was 80's day at LHS. Whitney tried to mock D.J. from "Full House". Thats what she looked like to me.
Tomorrow is 70's day...I wonder where I put those bell bottoms?
She was the most beautiful girl in her 9th grade class today! (private Joke)I love you Whitney!
