MY MONDAY POST!

Happy Monday ya'll!

I have been wrapped up in girls...

I am enjoying having Yesenia and Jessica here staying at my house. They are such humble girls. They help out in the house and never utter a word of objection when asked to do anything. They are always smiling and happy to be here. I don't or won't take advantage of them but it would be easy to do because they are so willing.
Yesenia is from Mexico and altho she has a loving family, they are very poor. Now don't get me wrong , we are not rich by any means, but we have so much more than her family.

I remember when she first came here, she was in the shower and Rudy and I kept hearing the water turn off, then on then off and on. After the shower Rudy asked her about it and she replied that back home they don't have water like we do, they only have about a bucketful (of cold) and it must not be wasted. They have a water truck that comes by about 1st a week and fills their supply, and the water they get is not drinkable. They have to purchase bottled water to cook or drink.
Yesenia wants to continue her education in Mexico, but there is no money. Rudy and I paid for her education for 8th grade through 12th and she graduated with flying colors, but you have to be accepted into their college (with a wad of money). We are praying for God to make a way.
I made sure to get her some really good smelling soap and shampoo.

She loves her shower.

Jessica is Noah's (my foster baby) mother. I have had Noah since he was 2months old. He will be 4 in November. Noah was taken from his Mama because he had methanphedimine in his blood sample. I always told Jessica that I was gonna keep Noah til' she could get her life together. For the past 3 years there have been sporatic phone calls and a few visits (I never stopped her from visiting Noah), but in this last 1/2 year or so I noticed a change. The calls got really frequent (almost bothersome) and the visits started happening almost weekly. Jessica told me that she had not had any drugs in about a year. I could tell. Her home situation was bad, she was living with friends(???) and not using drugs but it was not the best environment. There was lots of drinking and she was taking care of everybody elses kids.
Well she called on Thursday and asked if I could pick her up the following Saturday morning. I told her YES. I went and got her and she had a horrible toothache, so I did the best I could to help ease her pain. I had some pain medicine and all kinds of over the counter tooth ache medicine along with a heating pad. She was coping I thought, until Whitney went into the bathroom and saw someone had vomited in the toilet and there was leftovers there. I made my rounds around the house asking "who's sick" Jessica shyly said , "well I'm not sick but this pain is so bad." She had been smiling and trying to be happy but was in extreme pain.
The next day Sunday , we went to church and I told my friend Cindy how bad her pain was and Cindy took the ball and RAN! We have a fellow member in our church who just happens to be a dentist. His name is Scott Ellis, and he is sent by God. He told us to bring her in the next day and he would relieve her pain, and he did. The first day we went he pulled 3 teeth. Then he set up an appointment for x rays and such. Jessica was staying with us intermentantly. The next appointment he pulled 7 teeth. What 21 year old wants 10 teeth pulled? Jessica! Jessica started using drugs when she was 12 and she got her first drugs from her Mother. She was addicted to drugs and this girl, just has never had a chance! Well now she does.
Altho Dr. Ellis took all the rotton teeth out, now we have to get the money to get her some teeth. (He could pull them and absorb the cost, but he doesn't make teeth! We will still use his services and the rate will be like we pay the outside help only...I told you he was an angel.)
Any way...Jessica is beautiful, and she doesn't know it. Whitney and I have been fixing her hair and Whitney has been putting some make-up on her.

We even got some "bubba" teeth and painted them white and she put them in her mouth. She's like a little girl, and Noah is in HOG-HEAVEN. That bond is there. I never encouraged or discouraged it, it just is there.

I'm telling ya'll this because we need prayer. I know God is in this. So to all my blogging friends I'm asking that you add these sweet young girls to your list of worthy causes!

I cant end this post without mentioning my" Favorite" girl!
Whitney sang in Mt. Pleasant this past weekend and did a great job. They gave her 6 songs to sing and she invited her friend Caleb Shelton to come sing "Jackson" with her. They did a great job!

Noah Loves Dr. Jeffery Smith

Just before Chris and Jennifer went home last night we noticed Noah's eye looked red and swollen. Jennifer and I discussed pink eye, allergies, eye cold...what could it be?
WELL.....

Noah woke up this morning with his left eye glued shut... Being the old hat that I am, I knew what it was, but then "the power of suggestion" from Jennifer compelled me to make sure. I can just see Dolese, Allie, Adam, and Luke coming down with pink eye..
So I called and got an appointment with Dr. Smith and I am glad to say that it is allergies. I did get some antibiotic drops to aid in healing. Noah told Dr. Smith that he loved him while we were there. Isn't that sweet!

While we were out, we went to Target, the BIG Walmart and to a couple of re-sale stores looking for a decent bathing suit for my rather busty 15 year old. Really people, there is just not a decent bathing suit out there. I went to J.C. Penneys last week and bought 2 that I thought would work, but when she put them on , I covered my eyes. They were obscene! So tonight she went to a slip and slide party in shorts and a tee shirt. I know - I know, I'm old fashioned, but I'm just not going to put my daughter on a plate for the devil to use .
If anybody knows of a site that sells modest bathing suits ( I dont mean THESE)give me a link.

Please I'm desperate!

Still Spring Cleaning!

I have been my very busy self here at home. I have been cleaning baseboards, dusting blinds (I hate dusting) Yesterday we mowed the yard and I fell into bed last night.
We also had visitors , or should I say Noah had visitors...His mother came and brought her sister and their mother. He had a good time.
I get in these funk's where I barely talk on the phone, barely leave the house. I just kinda get into my own stuff and simmer. Today I'm done...I'm going to my daddy's and getting out of dodge for a couple of hours. I did keep my 2 adorable grand-daughters earlier this week while their mama's had some mama time and I enjoyed them throughly! Here's some pictures!
Enjoy
They got their DADDY's Eyes!
Tiny toes need pedicure! :)
Noah (he's in heaven when the girls come over)
Dolese (Dee)
Allison

They are so anxious to swim, but they'll have to wait on their parents!!

Whats Happening!

Ive been resting from blogging, not that I needed a rest ( I don't blog that much) but I just haven't had anything to say...My world is still turning, I still have all my children, not much has changed...I'm still running in this amazing race (life) but I'm LAZY! Well at least from blogging. Last week I worked like a crazy white woman in my yard. I would like to be out there right now but its about to rain, so I'll kill some time in here.
Whitney sang in the school talent show last thursday. The video of their performance is on (click this link) youtube, just put Whitney's name in the search and look for the video named "In Color" thats the name of the song they sang. It was very good! She yelled and hollared for her friends, and just about lost her voice, which was not good, because she had to perform this past Saturday night in Gladewater.

O and I almost forgot to mention, she got her driving learners permit last Tuesday. Rudy and I were sure she was gonna fail the test because she (it didn't seem like) did not study very much. We were sure fooled. She missed 5 questions out of 30. The DPS people said she could miss up to 7 and still pass. Well, she did it and here's the proof.

We let Noah's birth mother (Jessica) stay the night and as you can see, the bond IS there. For now she will continue to visit him here and we will allow her to stay over occationally because Noah loves her so much!

Michael called me last night and said that their new family pet( a rescue dog who was too old to be adopted into a family with a ROWDY 5 year old) BIT Kaleb...they were at the emergency room getting stapled up. I'm not real sure whats gonna happen to the dog, I pray he finds a NEW HOME, if he's still alive. When he bit Kaleb Michael said he slung the dog across the room. Yet another lesson that people can love their pets but when it comes to deciding between children and pets...the pets gotta GO!

Poor Baby, granny wishes she could hold you!!!

FRY-DAY PHOTO PHINISH

I have been so busy this week. I'm not sure what Ive been doing , but I do know I have rarely stopped. I am getting ready for my trip to North Carolina next Tuesday and trying to contain my excitement about seeing Michael, Kaleb, and Kelly.Soooooo, I decided to share some more pics of my tulip tree, I might as well as long as that crazy music is still on there

What a sight to see! What you don't see is that we had really hard winds this week so the ground is semi covered with pink blooms, and they're getting uglier everyday!

HELLO SPRING! I see signs everywhere

This is another sign of spring. It was so nice outside yesterday, so I took Noah and Dolese out to ride. They had a blast even tho they took a few tumbles!
I took Whitney and some of her friends to our local discount store ( I wonder which one) and they were so good to bring the electric carts in for the store...The store was not happy, it says clearly on the buggy , no riding in basket. What brats!
Have a happy blessed Fry-day and remember to visit Candid Carrie for more Fry-day Fotos

My weekend in PICTURES!

This 1st couple of pictures are in honor of a very special boy at our house who is finally pottytrained ! He wanted to remain incognito, but he needed Babe (thats what Noah calls me), and I couldn't hear him with his mask on, so he took it off to hollar for me to come here.

Just between us, its Noah!

Whitney and I had to run to Sam's club to get a few items, one of those being...Adam Hunter! He decided he wanted to spend the night with us, so his dad Matt met us there and dropped him offI asked Matt if it would be alright if Adam got a haircut... Matt said that was fine so off we went to Sports Cuts!
Here's a before picture
He was so still and nice for the lady . Here's a during picture
And here's the finished What a handsome guy even with a few teeth missing!

We went to Gladewater, to the Gladewater Saturday Night Opry, where they had a LEGENDS show...This 1st picture is of Whitney rehearsing

This is of Whitney appearing as Miss Tanya Tucker ( Can you believe she's a legend, I guess its cause she started performing at the ripe old age of 13)

Next she helped out Mr Johnny Cash (A.K.A. Caleb Shelton) , as Miss June Carter, performing "Jackson"

Here she is as Tanya Tucker again (older) along side of Jimmy Blackmon, who played Buck Owens and Elvis (Sonny Montana) was in the house. He didn't do too bad for a dead guy!

I just had to show you a picture of Noah and Adam, all dressed up for church onn Sunday morning. Weren't they handsome!
Oh, and for the record, Noah sat in big church this morning for the 1st time. What a big, potty-trained, 3 year old we have!
I hope everybody's having a great Lords-Day!
I'm excited and ready for the Monday-Memory tomorrow.Click on the button on my sidebar for more info. Its where you write a verse in your blog and you have a week to "Hide it in Your Heart"
