My Keyboard is sticking...Mama's Funeral

Ive been wanting to post since the day of Mama's funeral (that's surreal) but my keyboarsd is sticking...especially the space bar. SOMEBODY, spilled something on it but it was nobody around here.

I know a funny little man,
As quit as a mouse,
Who does the mischief that is done
In everybody's house!
There's no one ever sees his face,
And yet we all agree
That every plate we break was cracked
By Mr. Nobody

`Tis he who always tears our books,
Who leaves the door ajar,
He pulls the buttons from our shirts,
And scatters pine afar;
That squeaking door will always squeak,
For, prithee, don't you see,
We leave the oiling to be done
By Mr. Nobody

The finger marked upon the door
By none of us are made;
We never leave the blind unclosed,
To let the curtains fade.
The ink we never spill; the boots
That lying round you. See
Are not our boots they all belong
To Mr. Nobody. Author unknown

Well anyway IT is very discouraging to try to type when your keyboard is sticking.
Now I wanted to tell you what a nice funeral Mama had.
We sat on the 2nd row. Buster , Carol, Meo and I, and Fred, along with John ,Bo and Rudy. Whitney sat on 1 side of Fred and his youngest son , Jerry, sat on the other.
Mark Beck started it off singing What A Day That Will Be it was done nicely and Mama would've loved it. Next the preacher said some words and read the obituary, then Ra Kirgan read Romans 8:28 and it was very nice. Then Rodger sang Beulah Land , and he did a good job. Mama surely would've been pleased, she loved that song. Then the whole congregation sang Victory In Jesus Now keep in mind that the sanctuary was packed. There was not an empty seat in the house, all those people singing Victory in Jesus...it sounded like we were in heaven!
Brother Dan preached out of I Kings 12:24 The title of the message was "This Thing Is From Me..." Anyway it was about the affliction of God's people being "from God" He talked about how Mama had been burdoned by affliction but had used it to further the work of the gospel. It was a nice sermon, very fitting , for my mother. There were so many people there, and we knew nearly everybody. There needs to be something that you can announce, where all your friends and aquaintances come out and visit, like a family visitation. I enjoyed that so much, but I kinda felt guilty cause, my mother had to die for us to get to see all these folks! She wouldn't have cared tho, she would have enjoyed it. especially when she was the center of it all, and she looked so pretty. She had a white casket with pink inside and she had on a pink gown and robe that Meo had ordered for her, for this occasion. It was color coordinated beautifully, and she had so many beautiful flowers. I really am glad she's gone. I miss her so much. There have been several instances when I've thought to myself, I've got to call or tell Mama...then I remember I can't. But she was in pain, more than she tried to let on I'm afraid.Not anymore. She is pain free, and I think thats what made her look so pretty in that coffin, the fact that she looked pain free. Her face was so at peace. Mama was a pretty woman and she was a pretty dead woman.
The pallbearers were MY boys and MY nephews and I tell you Ive never seen such a handsome crew! I think the fact that I loved them all had something to do with it. Ronnie, Cody Chris, Matt, Michael (in his dress blues) and Jesse (who stood in for Chad, and did a great job), and they all looked so nice. I may have a picture...
My Mother would've been so proud. The obituary was also nice here's a copy of that...

Glenda. I would love to have been there for your mama's funeral. I knew the church would packed. That alone is a great testimony to her life. Sadly, living now on social security, and the high price of gas have prevented me from taking any more of the trips I enjoyed so much. I only drive now when I just have to get out of the house. I didn't take my trip to PA to see my family last year, and I really wanted to go this year because Willy and Linda are spending the summer there and I wanted to visit them too. But, as gas prices,and the cost of everything else goes up,that trip also looks like an impossibility. Oh well. God is in control and His plan is working out.
Tell everyone I said hi. :)
By His Grace,
Jim
