We had a wonderful Sunday yesterday...The preacher preached about what "This is the day that the Lord has made" really means.Refering to Psalm 118 and the day at calvary. We had a wonderful helping of spiritual food. Then we had invited lots of people to the house to eat lunch. I cooked 5 roasts, 10 lbs of potatoes (thank you Mary Ellen for helping me peel them), 2 lbs of carrots, a huge pan of rice, green beans, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, and parker house rolls, Kelly brought deviled eggs, Cindy brought corn casserole and some home-made white chocolate maccadamian nut and peanut butter cookies, Mama brought banana pudding ,Susan brought coconut pie and a cake...Man we had a feast. There had to have been 30 or so people here and we had plenty...even left-overs. I had started to worry after we invited Lane ,Tracy and Langlee Brown, but it was kinda like the 2 loaves and 5 fishes, there was an abundance. God is so good. We had good fellowship as well, Len and Susan were here (new members, who have just started to understand the doctrines of grace) They're like little babies, so excited to be alive. Len told me its like the bible was a huge jigsaw puzzle with lots of pieces missing and now he's found them and it all fits to be a beautiful picture. He also described the world as a big tree with lots of fruit(believers) , hidden and protected by leaves (unbelievers) , God uses ALL things including leaves. I thought that was a good analagy...Anyway we all had a great time in the Lord, good food, good conversation. Praise the Lord for His goodness.
We've got septic tank problems...Rudy's on the phone with a repair man. School is out today, so Whitney's got Noah, shes very good with him, and he loves her!
I'd better get busy. Remember, this IS the day that the Lord has made (just like the day Jesus hung on the cross) we should rejoice and be glad in it!

You guys are quite the host and hostess. Everybody likes to come to your home cause there's gonna be a good meal and lots of good company! I enjoyed helping peel the potatoes. Sorry we couldn't stay and partake but it sounds like you had a housefull.
Love you all.
