FIRST POST OF THE NEW YEAR

I thought I'd write about the changes that have occurred during the year of 08...
1.In January:

2.In February: I quit smoking

3.In March:

4.In April:

5.In May: I lost my best friend, my Mother

6.In June: Chad came home

7.In July:

8.In August:

9.In September:

10.In October:

11.In November:

12.In December:We went to Mexico, My car is PAID OFF(praise the Lord!)

This is hillarious...I don't know what happened this year, I wonder if I slept all year. I think the closer I get to 50 the less I remember. I'm gonna leave this up so as (if) I remember things I can put them up. I need to blog more, so I'll remember more.
I do know Ive gained all my weight back, appx. 40 lbs and I am once again miserable.
I'm gonna try to get it back off!
Here's a poem I found that sums up what I hope this year holds for me, see if you agree...

Just One Request

Dear Master for this coming year
Just one request I bring:
I do not pray for happiness
Or any earthly thing—

I do not ask to understand
The way Thou leadest me,
But this I ask: Teach me to do
The thing that pleaseth Thee.

I want to know Thy guiding voice,
To walk with Thee each day.
Dear Master make me swift to hear
And ready to obey.

And thus the year I now begin
A happy year will be—
If I am seeking just to do
The thing that pleaseth Thee.

Hi Glenda! Having 'empty' months could be a Good thing, you know! Change is good...some of the time. Content is better.
I love your new look here!! and look at those roses! WOW!
Thank you for your wonderful words and your friendship Glenda! I hope this New Year is filled with great love and memories for you and your loved ones!

(If I ever got to Texas...yep, I'd paint for some good cooking! You now, sometimes I just get plain tired of cooking for 2 so I'd let you create in the kitchen while I painted your walls!)
