Death is the VICTORY, or NOT...

Ecclesiastes 3:19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all [is] vanity.

You can be sure that Michael, Farah, and Ed McMahon have faced the judge. They have all lost their "star status". From what I understand , you die how you lived. Now, these great icons may have been followers of the Lord Jesus, but if so I sure never knew it. I've always said that "if there is life there will be signs of life".
We definatly need to be in prayer for the families. Even tho these 3 were celebrities, they were someones son, daughter, brother, sister, mother, father, it hurts so much to loose a loved one. Michael was a few months older than me, I grew up with him and I loved his music (at one time). He was very young (to die) Let this be a wake up call!

We are all one breath away from death ourselves.
How are you living?
Do you belong to God?
Are you certain of where you are going when you die?

We are told not to love the world or the things in it. (1John 2:15)
We are told not to store up treasures here. (Matt. 6:9)

2 Titus 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

2 Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

UPDATE: I tried to find a song by Michael that might make some mention of our Lord and Saviour. The only thing I came up with that mentioned something resembling worship was "GIVE THANKS TO ALLAH".
I Timothy 2:5 For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

I think about this when a celebrity dies. We only see one side of their life do we really know where their hearts are. I hope to see all three in heaven when I get there. I wish I could have a sit down with a few who are noted scientologist to help them see the real truth.

I hope all three are resting in peace, but if they don't know Christ, I hurt for them and their families. I think we as Christians need to mourn their loss as we can. I have heard some say MJ got what he deserved, and that sickens, me because, he is not more a sinner than I am, the only wonderful difference maybe that Christ blood has covered me, so I am an object of God's grace, not because I deserved it. I hope these three made peace with God through Christ before they saw death. My thoughts go out to their loved ones. Thanks for reminding me i need to pray for the families.

I think pride is one of the sins: really, should we speculate about the lives of celebrities based based on their personas, created by publicists? "May they rest in peace" is all we should --and can--say. I just cleaned out my own basement (literally, that is) and am in no position to clean out other peoples' -literally or figuratively. This is the time to pray for and support their families and loved ones. Don't forget your Christian Virtues. Tija S

Glenda,

You are right to remind us that Christ is the only path to heaven. I don't know if these three knew Christ or not, but I hope they did.

Glenda, great post. I do not see you judging anyone by your standards at all. Of course we need be aware of the family and their feelings, but by the same token, the Bible, the ONLY word of God is very clear. You only pointed out what is truth.
It is so good when someone stands upon the truth and is not afraid to proclaim it.

Wise words indeed. I agree with you, I pray that they were at some point able to see the truth before judgment, but if not, that some good can come of thier lives. Hey, visit my site really really soon please, I have something there for you.

Good post - good feedback. Lives plagued with vices that had thier effects. We all fall short....we all sin. Joshua 24:15 "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." It is the best we can do while here on earth.

So sad. I do not feel we humans are meant to be lifted up in adoration. Seems like it destroys the mind over time. I hope they found the Lord. Dee

I hate that people talk down about MJ because he was ACCUSED of molesting children.I think we know how hard that can be!He may have been a little wierd but he did what he loved to do and he did it well!

Your right Sarah, I always-ALWAYS gave him the benefit of the doubt because I know how prosecutors work, and how slander, gossip, and the media can make people look guilty when they are NOT.
He definatly was good at his music! :)
