I'm sitting here this morning and I'm certainly not at a loss for words, in fact I'm trying to decide which words...
If somebody would have told me pre. 1981 that July 28th would mean something to me, I would have laughed it off. There was always a possibility that I could have a baby on this day, and I did in 1981 .
My precious Matthew was born. What a beautiful boy. So smart. He held his head up on the day he was born and looked around. We knew he would be a smart one.
I married Rudy when Matt was 11 and we went through Chad, and Michaels birthdays that year. I never had kiddie birthday parties, but I did have family birthday parties. Everybody would come including the boy's Daddy, Mark. Rudy being the newcomer with my parents didn't really like Mark being there , but he put up with it for the boys and me. After Michael's 10th birthday we had a really long hard day. I was big pregnant and Rudy made the comment that he'd "be glad when his baby was born so Mark wouldn't have to be at all the birthday parties." We laughed it off.
Whitney was due on the 22nd of July right before Matt's birthday. I was miserable but I made plans for his birthday as the 22nd came and went...I went to my doctor on the 26th and he informed me that the baby was getting too big and I really needed to deliver, so they would like for me to be there at 5:45 A.M on Wednesday...the 28th!!
Matt's birthday. Sooooooo Matt and Whitney have shared a birthday now for 16 years and Mark has only missed the one's when Matt wasn't here...
Today Matt's not here. He moved to Beaumont and I miss him and his family so bad. I wanted to share a few pictures, and tell Matt that I love you and I miss you and I pray that you feel better.
