Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Today is my 48th birthday. I dont feel any older, so far. Today was also my Grandfather Sommers' birthday. I wish I knew how old he would have been. Aunt Burr if your reading this please Email me and tell me what year John James Sommers ( your daddy) was born. Mama probly knows but I have'nt called her yet! I do know that he was a peace officer ( policeman) and that he drank ( I think) and that he died when my mama was 9 years old and my granny was 51. My granny never re-married.
So far (as of 9am) I got a call from Meo, Ive got to call her back to plan dinner. I got a very nice card from my Daddy and Dorothy (thank you D&D, I love ya'll)I got a card from my sister Carol (thank you honey! :)) and a card from my sweet Mother, a very special card that must have taken her hours to find cause it suits me to a "T". New Corell dinnerware from Rudy, the square kind, very nice and a lovely card, A card from Whitney and Jesse, with a keepsake marker for my bible (I will cherish forever) A card from my Sunday school teacher, Phil Parks. So so far its been a great b-day.
I got up and did my 30 minutes on the treadmill, this is my 3rd day and it was'nt quite so hard this morning. So far I have lost 32 lbs. I quit smoking on the 4th of December ( Mama's b-day present) I guess you could say I am trying to get the mind of of 48 year old and get healthy. Ya'll remember me in your prayers as I endeaver this new healthy lifestyle.
Ya'll have a great day. Its beautiful outside, get out there.

Happy Birthday to you!!

I'm so happy to hear you have stopped smoking and lost weight and are working to be healthier! Good for you. That's great.

We are responsible (to a large degree), for our own good health, and there is alot we can do.

Keep up the good work.
Love ya,
Carol

I thought you and Rudy looked really good Thangsgiving. Its something we have to work at for the rest of our days, hard work but the results and rewards are more than worth it. I hope the Lord will strengthen and sustain you to persevere.(–verb (used without object) 1. to persist in anything undertaken; maintain a purpose in spite of difficulty, obstacles, or discouragement; continue steadfastly.
2. to persist in speech, interrogation, argument, etc.; insist.
